Mr. Fagerheim is President and Chief Executive Officer of Whitecap Resources Inc., a position he has held since 2009, and also founder of Whitecap Resources Inc., Kereco Energy Ltd. (Cadence), Ketch Resources Ltd, and Ketch Energy Ltd. He was appointed to the board of The Fraser Institute in January 2020. He has worked in both the Canadian upstream and downstream segments of the energy industry. His past directorships include both public and private energy producing and service companies.
Mr. Fagerheim is an active member in the community in both volunteer and charity roles and has a passion for combining academics with athletics. He is a director of the Hockey Canada Foundation, serving since January 2008, has served as Chairman of the Foundation and was also a member of the Order of Hockey Canada executive committee. He also has served as Chairman of the Edge School for Athletes in Calgary. In recognition for his contributions to Canada to date Mr. Fagerheim was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal created in 2012 to honour the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. He was inducted into the Saskatchewan Oil & Gas Hall of Fame in 2017 and was named Saskatchewan Oil Person of the Year in 2021.
Mr. Armstrong has over 30 years of diversified engineering and operations experience. Prior to joining Whitecap in 2010, Mr. Armstrong was VP Operations of Ridgeback Exploration Ltd. from 2005 to 2009. From 1996 to 2005, he held Manager Operations positions at publicly traded Blue Mountain Energy Ltd. and private Star Oil & Gas Ltd. Mr. Armstrong began his professional career at Kerr-McGee Canada Ltd. in 1990 after graduating from SAIT with a Petroleum Engineering diploma. He is currently an active member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta.
Mr. Bullock has over 30 years of exploration, development and management experience with senior and private E & D growth companies. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Geology) degree from McMaster University and following graduation began his professional career at Dome Petroleum. Prior to joining Whitecap in 2011, Mr. Bullock held positions at private start-up Milestone Exploration, ConocoPhillips Canada, Gulf Canada, Crestar Energy and Amoco Canada.
Mr. Bullock is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) and the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists (CSPG).
Mr. Dunlop has over 30 years of domestic and international diversified engineering experience. Prior to joining Whitecap in 2009, he held positions at Wascana Energy, Santos, Genesis Exploration/Vintage Petroleum and two private start-up companies, Tiger Energy and Ridgeback Exploration. Mr. Dunlop has a Bachelor of Science (Industrial Engineering) degree from the University of Manitoba (1989) and began his professional career with Chevron Canada Resources. He is a member of APEGA (Professional Engineer designation) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
With over 20 years of financial and managerial experience in the oil and gas industry, Mr. Kang has held the position of Chief Financial Officer since the company’s inception in 2009. From 2005 to 2008, he was VP Finance & CFO of Churchill Energy Inc., a publicly traded energy company. Mr. Kang began his professional career with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP after graduating from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta.
With over 20 years of mineral land and managerial experience in the oil and gas industry, Mr. Lebsack has held the position of Vice President, Land since the company’s inception in 2009. From 2006 to 2009, he was Vice President, Land at Glamis Resources, a publicly traded energy company. Mr. Lebsack began his professional career with Northrock Resources after graduating from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is an active member of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen.
Mr. Mombourquette has over 30 years engineering and evaluation experience, and is a past Officer of Ketch Energy Ltd., Ketch Resources Ltd. and Kereco Energy Ltd. He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Dalhousie (formerly TUNS) and upon graduation in 1986, he began his professional career at Norcen Energy until 1996. Mr. Mombourquette leads the Business Development, New Energy and Information Technology teams at Whitecap.
Mr. Mombourquette is a professional engineer and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) and a member of the Board of Governors of the Explorers and Producers Association of Canada (EPAC).
Mr. Zdunich has been Vice President, Finance & Controller since January 1, 2015. Prior to that, he was Controller since joining the company in April 2011. He has over 20 years of financial experience in the oil and gas industry with prior roles at Delphi Energy, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and Anadarko Canada. Mr. Zdunich is a member of the Alberta Chartered Professional Accountants and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
